Grief/Loss is the emotional suffering resulting from the loss of someone you love or something you deeply care about. Most people associate grief/loss with the death of a loved one but it may also be brought about by a number of events which includes the death of a pet, loss of job or financial security, loss of health or safety, a miscarriage, retirement, loss of family home, a divorce or breakup.  At times, you may actually feel that the sadness and emptiness you are feeling inside will never pass.  While these reactions may be normal, there are a lot of ways to cope with the pain.

People grieve in their own way and heal in their own time. Some people prefer to show their emotions while others choose to hide their feelings. Some people start to feel better in a few weeks or a few months while others take years to recover.
